Companionship:
Silas is curled up on the couch beside me, snoring. His head is pressed against my thigh and sometimes his ear slides over the keyboard so I tuck it back down the side of the laptop.
I read something on tumblr that made me sad and I sighed. He put his big blocky head on my chest, looked at me and did his relaxed breathing thing.
